What Is the DIT-MCO Technology Exchange?
The DIT-MCO Technology Exchange is a dynamic, two-day technology showcase hosted by DIT-MCO International. The event will take place at Great Wolf Lodge on October 8-9 in the greater Dallas/Fort Worth area, making it easily accessible to employees nationwide, especially in those in Texas. They have partnered with wire harness industry-leading companies, such as Daniels Manufacturing Corporation, Zuken, Tri-Star Technologies, and Glenair, Inc. This event is free to all attendees, and DIT-MCO provides lunch for everyone on both days.
Why Attend?
During the event, attendees will receive exclusive access to presentations from industry leaders who specialize in advanced solutions to the wire industry. After the morning and afternoon presentations, there is a dedicated demonstration time where attendees can engage with exhibitors in one-on-one conversations and learn more about the presented technology. Attendees at this event will be from different companies, backgrounds, and locations, but all with a similar mission: efficiently and accurately providing products and solutions to their end customers. As an attendee, you can network with other industry professionals, whether it is an attendee or exhibitor.
When asked why you should attend, Scott Kendrick, DIT-MCO Southeast Sales Manager, said, “This is going to be a great event with presenters with tons of industry knowledge. After a couple of presentations or conversations with partners or event attendees, you will be able to walk away with new insights and connections that could transform your processes.”
Rather than opt for a large tradeshow, the partners of the event decided it would be more beneficial to attendees if the event were structured for presentations and discussions rather than typical booths where people filter in and out.
Event Ideation
We developed this event for many reasons. First, we are excited to showcase new solutions. After considering how to showcase this effectively, our team realized that a narrow approach was not the most efficient. Instead of concentrating on just one aspect of a complex wire harness design, test, or installation process, we wanted to offer customers a comprehensive solution that eliminated the need for end users to piece together information themselves. DIT-MCO Midwest Sales Manager, Ryan Vickers, explained why including partners at this event was crucial, “It is a chance to discuss how each of us is a link in the overall chain of cable and harness assembly and how we plan to be a more cohesive chain, rather than independent links.”
Kent Williams, DIT-MCO Director of Sales, Marketing, and Service, said he is looking forward to “Providing a platform where customers, partners, and potential clients can explore the latest market technologies. This event will offer vendors and end users a unique opportunity to exchange ideas and address concerns, fostering a collaborative environment to develop better solutions for our customers’ current and future needs.”
